Hope from the Word

Reading: Exodus 34-35 and Romans 15

Scripture: Romans 15:4, For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Thoughts: We need hope renewed in us every day, we walk every day in a fallen world with opinions and thoughts what can distract us and lead us away from the Father. Scriptures and the narratives throughout the Bible point us to the hope and encouragement that come from knowing who we are in Christ. We need to be in the Word of God every day, seeking to hear his voice and his leading. The more we dive into the word the more we are hearing his voice, it may be slightly different depending one who was writing and who was the original audience but you will start recognizing God’s voice in the writing of the 40 different authors. As we hear God in his Word more, we open our ears to hearing him in our life more.

Prayer: Lord, I stand in awe of all you do, the work you are doing in my life and the work you are doing in the world. Your love is so abundant and so overwhelming. I thank you for the refining and molding your are doing in me. I ask that you help me to hear your voice and walk in your plan.
