June 6, 2020 Christian or Antichrist???

Reading: 1 Chronicles 1 and Matthew 15

Scripture: Matthew 15:23, But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.”

Thoughts: Today in the light of everything going on this passage stuck out to me. This woman just because she was not part of the family of Israel she was being passed by and disciples were probably telling her to go away when Jesus didn’t say anything, they came to him thinking that maybe she would listen to him. After their conversation Jesus healed her daughter. As Christians we are being called little Christs the title Christ that was give to Jesus had the meaning of “one doing God’s will.” If we are to be doing God’s will and living up to the name we are caring around with us we need to do God’s will the commands give that all other commands fall under what we are told in Matthew 22:37-40, Love God and Love People. Loving people does not mean you agree with everything they say or do. The Great Commission that we are all called into is to share the Gospel the good news and that Good news is Love. When we allow hate and depravity into our lives we have the spirit of antichrist in us and are working against God. Not just our churches/congregations need to remember and come back to focusing on the love but the Church as a hole entity needs to focus on loving all. Christ died for ALL, not just this select group or that denomination over there He died for all.

Prayer: Father you are Love and you are just. I thank you that you sent your Son to show us how to love. I thank you for the provisions and blessings you pour out upon us each day. I thank you for my family and seek your guidance on how to raise them. I thank you that you do pour your love into us that we may pour it out upon us. I ask that you help me to share your love more and be that mirror that reflects you and not seek my own glory.
