Today’s reading Was Jeremiah 5&6 and Acts 20
The scripture that stuck out to me was Act 20:10b-11 “Do not
be alarmed, for his life is in him.” And when Paul had gone up and had broken
bread and eaten, he conversed with them a long while, until daybreak, and so
departed.
Observation: After raising Eutychus from the dead Paul had a
midnight snack and went back to teaching, he didn’t make a big deal of it or
call attention to it, instead said He’s good. I the same way Jesus would do
miracles and not draw attention to the fact that it was done.
Application: First and foremost with the Authority and
Dominion God has given us we have the ability in Christ’s name to heal and
raise people. Second we need to have unyielding faith that is will be done.
Third we need to not draw attention to the fact that we did it. It is awesome
to see and be apart of a miracle but that we are not here to say look at me or
get praised. Matt 6:5 “And when
you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray
in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others.
Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.” I Believe that this applies
to great things we are to do in Christ’s name.
Lord help us to have the faith to do what we are called to
do and claim the authority and Dominion over this world that you gave us.
