Bear witness about the light!!

Reading: Exodus 38-39 and John 1

Scripture: John1 8, 12, He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light…  But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

Thoughts: John (the Baptist) had been telling the Pharisees that he was the herald telling of Jesus, then goes on to say those who receive him (Jesus) are given the right to become children of God. I was reading this and was thinking about how now that though Christ and what he did we have been adopted into God’s family and are children of God, just as John was a herald of the first coming, we are the heralds of his second coming and are called to share what God has done for and in us. It is not about getting in front of a large crowd to tell your story but in the midst of doing life sharing God’s love with those around us. Most people will not care about what you are sharing until they see how much you care

Prayer: Father God you are so wonderful, your glory shines from all creation. I thank you that you did send your Son to give us the right to be called sons and daughters of God. I thank you for all you have done in my life and all you are still doing. I ask that you give me the strength and boldness to speak where you would have me speak. Lead us and guide us in all we do.
